Hello, gamers and adventurers! Welcome to Checkpoint Couple! A space where we share our love for gaming, our stories as a multicultural couple, and everything in between. Whether you’re here for game reviews, co-op tips, or to discover hidden gaming gems, you’ve come to the right place!
Who We Are
We’re Patty (Fieryampharos) and Michael (metroid002), a gaming duo who has been playing together for over a decade. Our story began in high school, when we first met, and gaming has been a huge part of our relationship ever since. Even when we were in a long-distance relationship, games kept us connected—whether it was teaming up in Portal puzzles, surviving hordes in Left 4 Dead, or diving into Payday heists together.
In 2016, I made the move to Austria, and by 2019, we officially became Player One and Player Two for life. Now we continue our gaming adventures side by side, whether it’s on PC, Nintendo Switch, or even revisiting classics on the Wii U.
Gaming Has Always Been Our Thing
From fighting off zombies on the beaches of Dead Island, to the asymmetrical gameplay that is Rayman Legends, or the chao…patriotic carnage we unleash in Helldivers, we’ve shared endless gaming moments. Whether teaming up for Pokémon battles or exploring vast open worlds, gaming has always been at the heart of our relationship. Over the years, our setup has evolved – from playing on a Wii U to enjoying long Switch sessions and diving into PC gaming.
This blog is our way of sharing our love for games—whether it’s deep dives into the best co-op experiences, reviews of games we love (or don’t), and discussions about what makes gaming so special. We’re here to talk about the experiences that keep us coming back to our favorite worlds, from nostalgic throwbacks to exciting new releases.
